1. Cupid's Arrows. With this option a patron will find a bow and quiver filled with golden arrows. When the being picks up these items, a strange transformation will occur. He or she will take on the rule of Cupid. They will be overcome with the urge to find the other patrons and to hit them with these mystical arrows. On contact, the arrow will disappear in a cloud of glittery dust, leaving no injury but the patron will fall in love with the first person he or she sees.
2. Secret Admirers. Valentine's day cards have started appearing in the Library. The messages can be simple or elaborate. They might describe the thoughts and wishes of someone who is not brave enough to confess his or her feelings to the recipient or the card might be a message from home. Each will be somehow connected to another patron (either a message from them directly or their wish for a message from home to be sent to someone else). The recipient can attempt to track down the sender.
3. Mysterious Candy. There can be many different possibilities for this option. This can be like the food in Wonderland that makes people taller or smaller, the candies in Harry Potter that move on their own or have strange effects on whoever tastes them, or be like the 'Band Candy' in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the patron's wild side is unleashed. These are just a few suggestions. Players can decide which fits their muse best.
4. Kiss Kiss. Suddenly, a patron has an overwhelming urge to kiss their crush or the person they love. When they do floaty hearts appear above someone's head and fireworks appear if the feelings are reciprocated.
5. A Surprise Visit from Someone from Home. This option is to allow new patrons to visit the Library. It can be combined with the other options or it can be the traditional arrival in the Library.
6. Slumber Party! Valentine's day isn't just for lovers. It can celebrate friendship as well. With this option, the Library will provide patrons with comfortable pajamas, board games, and take out from the patron's favorite restaurant. Those who brought electronics to the Library may find that the devices have mysteriously turned on and are playing whatever media files were stored on the device. (After all, what's a slumber party without a movie or music?)
